Along with the national celebration of the Thanksgiving Day, we the church family celebrate it reflecting on all the blessings and protection God has given us to our Country and to the church family. The original purpose of the Thanksgiving Day celebration is to give thanks to God. We start our thanksgiving dinner on the table of Jesus with the holy "Eucharist" (the Greek word for thanksgiving) and a pot luck dinner in the gym after that on the Sunday before the Thanksgiving Day.
We celebrate Christmas as a family with carol singing, Saint’s visit and pot luck dinner on the first or the second Saturday in December after 4pm mass. We invite all our neighbors for this celebration.
Easter Egg Hunt
The egg was a symbol of the rebirth of the earth in pre-Christian celebrations of spring. However, the Easter egg itself was defined by early Christians as an Easter symbol of the resurrection of Jesus: the egg symbol was likened to the tomb from which Christ arose.
St. Joseph Sunday School will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt on Palm Sunday after mass. The hunt is open to all little children. Please contact Sunday School teachers or the Church office for more information.
